Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect/Programmer Analyst will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, testing, and deploying minor business situational awareness solutions in support of the Fleet Operations Center (FOC), leveraging SaaS/Cloud, client server, and web-based technologies. Developed solutions must seamlessly intergate with the current FOC commerical wall vendor visualization software to convey "up-to-the-minute intellegence" back to the FOC Visualization Wall with supporting survilance details. The intellengence streaming back into the FOC will convey the health, safety, and operations of our vessels traveling the world abroad. The successful candidate will also be responsible supporting downstream system integration efforts, sustaining the vendor FOC Video Wall (e.g., software and applications) plus enage with the business to evangelize wall visualization vendor future product roadmap opportunities. The successful candidate will lead by example, evangelize our One IT culture, and be an advocate of new technology and development techniques.

Essential Functions

  • Devise FOC Video Wall architectural strategy to support minor business case enhancements plus fosters complete integration/federation of Maritime FOC Video Wall developed situational application solutions (current/future)

  • Devise an common/enterprise FOC Video Wall framework, which supports ease of adoption, sharing, and re-use of FOC situational applications and video wall technologies by all brands

  • Continuous development, enhancement, tuning, and optimization of FOC Video Wall situational awareness applications to include visuals, and platform (e.g., hardware, software, and netwowrk)

  • Sustain FOC Video Wall infrastructure hardware, software, and application through monitoring/analytic and artificial intelligence tools to evaluate KPIs

  • Institute preemptive/proactive monitoring to identify and reduce platform exceptions and performance degradation, while concurrently executing automated self-healing/scaling measures

  • Develop capacity planning/performance metrics and exception reporting in support of the FOC/Video Wall

  • Assist with FOC personnel, business, and IT peer training/mentoring efforts related to FOC Video Wall infrastructure, software, and application idiosyncrasies

  • Assist with devising/establishing cross-brand governance to manage and enable change to FOC Video Wall

  • Keep abreast of the industry changes/advancements in Video Wall Technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master of Science in technical field and/or MBA preferred; Certifications in Java, JSON, and video wall technologies highly desired; Maritime/Marine experience big plus

  • 5+yrs lifecycle

  • 5+ years of proven architectual, design, development, and support experience

  • 5+yrs Agile Methodology

  • 3+yrs Business anaylsis experience

  • JDevelopment Skills (5yrs+): Java Script, Java, JSON, .net, Object Oriented design/development, dojo, Jquery, HTML, XML

  • 2-3yrs Control Point Wall Visualization software installation, development, and administration

  • Cruise Industry Experience
