The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated HR Data Steward who will who will be responsible for completing special projects for data governance and data integrity within the HR Department. This includes documentation of HR Assets, dictionaries, glossaries, policies & procedures and reference codes as well as assisting on special projects in multiple tools such as Excel, Collibra, Confluence & Jira. The position will also include system maintenance and training others in the use of necessary tools.

  • Create and Maintain MAPS & EV5 data dictionaries in the Collibra software

  • Create and maintain HR Reports Catalog in Collibra software

  • Create and maintain other HR data structures in Collibra, Confluence and Jira as directed

  • Train team appointed stewards in documentation of their data in Collibra & Confluence or other software as deemed necessary

  • Works with various HR teams to help identify data ownership and maintain this responsibility hierarchy in Collibra

  • Reviews weekly automated data integrity reports for errors and works with teams to resolve

  • Works with IT teams to troubleshoot any errors with the automated batch loads

  • Works with the business to identify relevant data sets for use by HR and document lineage

  • Communicates with Manager about any issues with Collibra system or structure

  • Coordinates and assists with training other brands in data entry policies and procedures and use of Collibra and HRS Dev and follows up with testing/validation of changes

  • Provides System Admin support for Collibra users on the Collibra interface

  • Delivers customer service that aligns with HA Group brand’s Core Values, ensure positive outcomes by listening carefully to customer’s and coworker’s needs

  • Assist HRIS team members as requested


  • BA/BS In Computer Science, Business, Data Science, Business Analytics or related fields

  • 2+ years’ experience in a related position in a business environment

  • Must have good comprehension and understanding of SQL code with ability to run basic queries

  • Strong excel skills, specifically with Pivot Tables and Queries

  • Experience in data profiling and mining

  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Analytical business experience preferred

  • Knowledge of or exposure to the following software a plus: Collibra, Confluence, Jira
